Adirondack Chairs are the best Classic Chair for the Deck or Cottage
Posted April 17th, 2011 by adminI love spending my summers outdoors on my deck and swimming in my pool. Its great getting outdoors and enjoying the fresh air and sunshine that summer brings. When you have a yard its quite enjoyable to plant flowers, cut the grass, trim your trees, wash the car and at the end of the day relax on your patio or deck with a glass of wine and a great meal.
I stain my pressure treated deck each spring as it gives the deck a fresh new look of natural cedar and makes the deck look new again at the beginning of each summer. I also have installed a tent with curtains and screens which I use to keep the direct sunlight off of my family while we are on our deck.
I like to hang hanging flower baskets around my tent and pool and this year I am going to build some flower boxes to add some flowers and plants to along with some Solar lights for an indirect lighting effect at night.
I also installed a solar pool heater panel on the roof of my garden shed that helps heat the pool at no Cost and heats the pool an average of about three degrees per day providing it doesn’t rain. The only downside to solar heating panels is that you have to rely on the sun to heat your pool and if it rains it cools the pool off immediately so I am now thinking about having a gas heater installed on the pool so I can use it more often because the solar panel just doesn’t heat the pool quickly enough sometimes when my family wants to swim in it.
This year I am going to take a look at buying some handcrafted Adirondack Chairs. Having an Adirondack Chair on my deck and patio is great for my back and so relaxing with a cold beer or glass of wine on a hot summers day. I found a great company online that even ships Folding Adirondack Chairs and I love the idea of being able to save space at the end of the summer with something I can save space with for the winter months.
